- Othello (the great general) married Desdemona secretly with only a few friends present. Othello's officer Lago hates Othello and wants the worst for him. There's also a young man named Roderigo who longed to be in Desdemona's bed.
- CLIMAX
- A vessel came into harbor with a young officer on board named Cassio who's been promoted over lago. Cassio was married to Emilia, who was Desdemona's maid. Roderigo then makes a plan to influence Cassio to have an affair with Desdemona. Later that night, Cassio drinks too much. As a result he ends up cutting someone's arm and is fired from being an officer of Othellos and ruins his reputation.
- FALLING ACTION
- Roderigo pours pestilence into Othello's ear about the relationship between Cassio and Desdemona. He then steals the handkerchief (Desdemona's 1st remembrance of Othello) and uses it as evidence of cheating. Roderigo also falsely says that Cassio has informed him of the love between him and Desdemona.
- RESOLUTION
- Othello and Roderigo make a plan to murder Cassio and Desdemona. When Cassio was dueling another officer Roderigo sneaked up from behind him and murdered him. After that, Othello murders his own wife while she was lying in bed.
- All the characters find Desdemona's body and are horrified. Othello tells Emilia that her husband was having an affair with Desdemona. But, Emilia gave evidence that Roderigo forced her to steal the handkerchief to give to him. Roderigo then stabs Emilia. Cassio also speaks and enforces the idea that it was all a lie.
- Othello goes into a rage and stabs Roderigo because of all the lies he told him. Later on, Othello felt so bad for killing his innocent wife and kills himself out of grief.
