- This was a major series of migration which spread around West-Central Africa to much of sub-Saharan Africa. It also had an enormous impact on Africa's economic, cultural, and political practices.
- Decolonization of Africa
- It was the transporting and selling of humans as slaves. It was mostly the trade of black Africans as slaves by European countries and North America.

- This was the invasion, division, and colonization of African territory by European powers during a short period of known to historians as the New Imperialism.

- This took place in the mid-to-late 1950's to 1975 with sudden changes on the continent and as the government made the transition to independent states.
- This was a system of segregation that existed on South America and South West Africa. It upheld segregation policies against non-white citizens of South Africa.
