  • Two of the following are definitive evidence of evolution on our planet. The two most significant are fossil records and comparative anatomy
  • Evolution by Natural Selection is a theory that was found by Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace Russel. The theory of evolution is the process of change in all life forms through genetic and environmental changes. There are 5 types of evolution. Variation, Inheritance, Selection, Time, Adaption
  • But first, What are fossil records? Fossil records the remains or imprints of organisms from earlier geological periods preserved in sedimentary rock. This makes it one of the most easy recognisable signs of evolution as you can see how different the fossils are now from before
  • I will be discussing how fossil records is reliable evidence backing up the theory of evolution
  • Fossil dating is considered evidence for the theory of evolution as there is proof of organisms that have changed and developed through evolution overtime as fossils that have been dated in the past are different to the same organisms in the present date
  • Therefore making clear evidence of evolution existing. An example of fossil dating working is bones from an earlier human called Lucy. Its remains were found and proved that we had evolved from it in many ways
  • What is comparative anatomy you ask? Comparative anatomy is the study of the structure of bones and the similarity and differences from each bone structure depending on organism.
  • Next I will be discussing how comparative anatomy is evidence supporting the theory of evolution
  • Comparative anatomy is considered evidence of evolution by natural selection because it provides evidence that supports or dismisses the relatedness of two organisms.
  • A common example of comparative anatomy is the similar bone structures in forelimbs of cats, whales, bats, and humans.and how they have evolved over millions of years, proving the theory of evolution
  • Therefore the studies of fossil dating and comparative anatomy accurately represent and prove the theory of evolution true.
