- AaAgricultural Revolution.
- The Dutch led the way into the new agricultural revolution, they began to combine small fields into larger ones. The invention of the seed drill became known and left farmers jobless and forced to leave their lands. Farmers then fled to the cities and found jobs in factories.
- BbBoxer Uprising.
- This happened between 1899 and 1901. A Chinese secret organization called the Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists led an uprising in northern China against foreign imperialism and associated Christian missionary activity.This later became known as the Boxer Rebellion
- Communism is a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. Karl Marx believed that communism would bring a classless society where the means of production would be owned in common for the good of all. In the communism manifesto Marx argued that economics were the driving force of history.

- About 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces landed on 5 beaches along France's Normandy region. They had planed for it to be on June 5th but the weather delayed it The day of 4,000+ allied troops died and thousands more were wounded or missing. Luckily by June 11, the beaches were fully secured and over 300,000 more troops were able to land. By August 1944, Paris was liberated from the Germans.

- The English Civil War was a series of civil wars and political machinations between Parliamentarians and Royalists. These wars were mainly over the manner of England's governance and issues of religious freedom. It was part of the wider Wars of the Three Kingdoms.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt was an American politician who served as the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. The United States reelected FDR in 1940 for his third term, making him the only U.S. president to serve for more than two terms. Roosevelt supervised the mobilization of the U.S. economy to support the war effort, and implemented a Europe first strategy, making the defeat of Germany a priority over that of Japan.
