- The characters are Bree, Clara, and Ms.Etta. The setting is Florida. The conflict is that Bree does not know how to swim, and she has a class, Swimming 101. A quote from the book is Icky Pool. This quote was said by Bree.
- Falling Action
- The conflict is that Bree wants to take Math Puzzles but that is full. Everything else she wants to do is also full so she is forced to do swim. That Bree is afraid to admit that she can't swim. She wants to keep skipping class but her friend Clara says that she will get in trouble. Bree almost drowns.
- Resolution
- The climax is when Ms. Etta teaches Bree how to swim. She is picked for the swim team. Their school's rival team is called Holyoke Prep. There are two mean kids from Holyoke Prep Tinsley and Keisha. Clara and Bree are determined to beat them.
- Bree's team practices hard. Unexpectedly, Keisha loses a competition to Bree and is kicked off the team. She joins Bree's school. Clara gets excepted into Holyoke Prep. Bree, Clara, Keisha, and Phillipa go into to Holyoke Prep to see their pool.
- The resolution is when Bree's team gets into to state. Bree quits the swim team. She makes up to her friends and now they are determined to win. Bree's dad shows up at the competition. Bree's team wins the competition, and her, Clara, Keisha, and Phillipa get ice cream floats with the swim team of Holyoke Prep.
