Almost 3,000 years ago, the Trojans and Greeks fought a long and terrible war, all because the Trojans had captured the beautiful Greek Princess Helen.
Take the horse inside!
The Greeks fought but could not get in the tall strong walls around the city.
They needed a smart trick - they started to build a wooden horse.
The Trojans laughed. The Greeks left the battlefield leaving only the horse behind. The King ordered them to bring the horse inside the walls as a symbol of their victory and they all went to sleep.
Odysseus and around 30 Greek soldiers got out of the horse and signalled to those outside. They then opened the Trojan City gates and the Greek army swarmed in and caught the Trojans off guard.
They won the battle and took the Princess Helen home! THE END
