- Dad, I don't know if you know but Mrs. Shears’s dog died in front of her lawn. Im going to investigate to find out who killed Wellington.
- You are not going to investigate nothing! It not my or your problem, so don't even think about it!

- Still gotta find out who killed Wellington
- In and around Swindon, England, seven minutes after midnight a kid name Christopher, who has autism found his neighbor's dog Wellington dead on his neighbor's lawn with a garden fork through the dogs sides. After discovering the dog Christopher decides to investigate to find out who killed Wellington.
- That's just my detective book for evidence.

- After finding Wellington dead, the next day Christopher went to his house to tell his dad about it. When he told his Dad what happened, his Dad did not agree with the detective idea. His Dad was not happy about it.
- I need to find that book.

- Christopher really didn't care about what his Father said to him, because he still decided he was gonna find out anyways. He also decided to write everything down on a book.
- I miss you so much, how are you doing? I'm at London and it's been great but it would be better if you was here with me. I hope everything is good, you can also give a call to me if you like. Well, I have to go now, talk to you soon.

- The next day in the afternoon, Christopher comes home from school and accidentally leaves his book in plain sight on the kitchen table. And his Father reads it. After he reads it, he becomes very angry and takes the book away from him.
- I already told you about this, I'm taking this away from you
- After Christopher's Father took the book, Later, Christopher searches for the book and uncovers a series of letters, hidden in a shirt box in his father’s closet, addressed to him from his supposedly "dead mother".
- Christopher decides to read one one of the letters that his Mom wrote to him...
