- The room was warm, the curtains were closed, the two table lamps were lit. On the cupboard behind her there were two glasses and some drinks.
- Her husband came home. she took his coat and hung it up.
- At that point, Mary Maloney simply walked behind him and without any pause, she swung the big frozen led of lamb high in the air and brought it down as hard as she could on the back of his head.
- She called the police and told them that he was dead.
- She fed them the murdered weapon.
