- Cia - Relucatant Hero, She is a relucatant hero because the government is forcing her into a role of leadership when all she wants to do is go to the university.
- Tomas - Sidekick, Tomas is a sidecick to Cia. He is a sidekick becuase he always supports Cia and sometimes questions her desicions.
- Will - Everyman hero, Will I would say is an everyman hero because he is an ordinary person in extraordinary circumstances a lot like everybody else.
- Roman: The trickster, Roman is a trickster because he tricks people into doing things they don't want to do. Like in chapter 9, in the group test when he answered all the questions and not his one question causing Annaleise to fail the testing.
- Annalise - Anti-hero, I would say Annalise is an anti-hero because she does heroic things but she is pretty sassy and that doesn't make the best hero.
- Ryme: Trickster - Ryme I would also consider a trickster because she would always make Cia mad or upset with what she said and she would always offer Cia corn cakes that I think may have been poisonous.
