  • The battle of Fort Washington was a military conflict between Great Britain and it's thirteen colonies in North America during the revolutionary war (1775 - 1783).
  • You started it!
  • The battle of Fort Washington took place on Saturday November 16th, 1776. The battlefield in which the Britain and American soldiers fought during the battle of Fort Washington was fought in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York.
  • Catch me outside how bout' that!
  • The American soldiers were led by George Washington, Robert Magaw, and General Nathanael Greene. They had 8000 soldiers, but they couldn't capture any of the other soldiers and were low on ammo.
  • The British soldiers were led by Sir WIlliam Howe, Colonel Johann Rall, Wilhelm Von Knyphausen, and Hugh Percy. They had 3000 soldiers with a lot of weapons. 
  • The battle of Fort Washington ended in victory for the British. The American Forces under George Washington suffered a terrible defeat at the hands of British General Howe with over 3000 casualties and the loss of canons and thousands of military supplies and were forces to retreat to the Delaware River.
