Storyboard Text

  • Introduction: Act 1
  • What country, friends, is this?
  • This is Illyria, lady.
  • Rising Action: Act 2
  • If you will not undo what you have done - that is, kill him whom you have recovered - desire it not. Fare you well at once. My bosom is full of kindness, and I am yet so near the manners of my mother, that upon the least occasion more mine eyes will tell tales of me. I am bound to the Count Orsino's court. Farewell.
  • Conflict: Act 2
  • But died thy sister of her love, my boy?
  • I am all the daughters of my father's house, and all the brothers too - and yet I know not.
  • - We are introduced to Viola and Duke Orsino. - Viola survived a shipwreck and washed up along the shores of Illyria, there she meets a friendly sea captain. - She believes that her brother drowned in the shipwreck. She comes up with the plan that she will disguise herself as a boy and work in Duke Orsino's court. - The duke is in love with the Countess Olivia but she does not love him. - Olivia is mourning for her recently-deceased brother, and refuses to marry anyone. 
  • Climax: Act 3
  • Not black in my mind, though yellow in my legs. It did come to his hands, and commands shall be executed. I think we do know the sweet Roman Land
  • Why, how dost thou, man? What is the matter with thee?
  • - Sebastian is still alive. However, he believes Viola drowned when the ship sunk and announces that he will go to Orsino's court. - Malvolio gives Cesario (Viola) a ring. Olivia asked Malvolio to give it to Cesario and say he left it at her house, in hopes that he will come back and return the ring that is actually Olivia's. - Maria writes a letter, imitating Olivia's handwriting, to Malvolio expressing Olivia's love for him. The letter is to make a fool of Malvolio in front of Olivia.
  • Falling Action: Act 4
  • - Viola's feelings for Orsino start to develop, but he has feelings for the Countess Olivia. - Olivia has started to fall in love with Cesario who is really Viola. - Orsino and Viola kiss, but Duke Orsino still orders Viola to give a jewel to Olivia. - Malvolio reads the letter left for him that Maria wrote. He believes that Olivia wrote it for him and is deeply in love with him.
  • Conclusion: Act 5
  • - Malvolio confronts Olivia in yellow stockings, as the letter insisted he do, the staff believe that he is going going crazy after seeing him with the countess. - Sir Andrew and Sir Toby challenge Cesario to a duel, the winner will have Olivia's heart. - Antonio saves Cesario (who he thinks is Sebastian) from the duel. When officers arrest Antonio, he calls Viola Sebastian. - Now, she believes that her brother, Sebastian, could still be alive.
  • - Sir Toby and Sir Andrew meet Sebastian, and mistaken him for Cesario. - Feste, the Fool disguises himself as a priest and tricks Malvolio, making him wonder if he really is crazy. - Malvolio ask Feste to give him some ink and paper, so he could write Olivia a letter and give it to her. - After Olivia stops the duel, she asks Sebastian to marry her, thinking that he is Cesario, and he agrees.
  • - Viola confesses her love for Orsino in font of Olivia, after she proposed to whom she thought was Cesario.- There is confusion between Olivia, Viola and Orsino, when Olivia says Cesario is her husband. - Viola and Sebastian reunite.- Orsino ask Viola for her hand in marriage. - When Olivia read Malvolio's letter that was given to him, she realized that it was Maria's handwritting. Malvolio vows for revenge on the people who tricked him. - In the end, Sebastian and Olivia are married, and Orsino and Viola are engaged.
