- caption: This is taking place at a theater on the north's base, this is what union soldiers do for fun when there not fighting.
- Nice to meet you George! My name is Mark and I'm a union soldier as well. This is my first time checking the theater, I usually write notes to my loved ones back home in my spare time.
- My name is George and I'm a union soldier. I visited this theater on the camp because I was bored and missing my family. This is one of my favorite things to do on base, other than going to church.
- caption: This is taking place at a hospital where a man is sick. Lots of soldiers in the civil war died from disease.
- My name is Thomas. I'm a Union solider, I had a small cold at the start and didn't think much of it. But it didn't get better due to my living conditions. I can barely walk now, and my doctor told me theirs nothing they can do for me anymore.
- In the tents this man is dying from a cold that has turned serve without treatment. There's no anesthesia or medicine to help him.
- caption: Here the cooks are preparing cornbread, beef, and vegetables to feed the confederate soldiers.
- caption: Here this is the battle of cheat mountain. The union vs the confederate soldiers are fighting.
- caption: Here is showing how a prison camp looked like called Andersonville. The soldiers that were taken were treated terribly and lived in awful conditions.
- caption: In the north and south the African Americans had it different from each other. In the top picture it represents the south and how the African Americans had to stay home and cook or work on the fields. In the bottom picture, it represents the north and how they got to fight in the war.

- It's not fair how the other African Americans in the north get to fight for what they believe in, and we must stay here and cook in the south.
