- Ponyboy Curtis is the person telling this story. He has many brothers and both of his parents died. He is apart of a gang called the Greasers. They lived in a small town in Oklahoma. This is during the Paul Newman era in the 1960's.
- Climax
- Ponyboy got jumped by the Socs as he was walking home from the drive-ins. Luckily, the Greasers showed up to help him chase off the Socs.
- Falling Action
- Ponyboy and Jonny met cherry and her friends.They met them at the drive in they were also the soces girl friends they wer in a gang the greasers they did not get along with the soces. Socs. In
- Resolution
- After the rumble dally cant handle is any more so he goes and robs a store and then runs away. He pulls an empty gun on the police. They shoot him because they thought the gun was full.
- Ponyboy is sick in bed and is very overwhelmed with all the death that has happened around him.
- Ponyboy gets to stay with his brothers and he is happy about this. The judge says it was for self-defense and lets them go.
