- In the first chapter we learn about his home life and how why he wanted to become a jet fighter pilot.

- We also find out that his dad had been a veteran of World War ll. His father always believed in hard work. That's why, even through mistakes, Dan kept pursuing being a jet fighter pilot.

- Dan his friend wanted to have a turn to go to Dreamland and see it for themselves. However, they weren't allowed to tell their families anything about the destination or what they would be doing.

- Day after day, they kept training their students to better their flying. Eventually, it paid off and Dan was offered to be Topgun's officer in charge.

- Lastly, on this journey Dan had met Colonel Ben Eliyahu, Dan Halutz, and other Israelis. That's when he had learned about their struggles and used that to fuel his battles.

- Finally, the story comes to and end and Dan says that he cherished all of the friendships that he made while serving his country as a jet-fighter pilot.
