- By this point, I still hadn't gotten my license but I was very comfortable with driving my automatic SUV that my brother gave to me when he bought a new car. As of right now, this is my first, and last time ever driving a stick shift (manual) car
- Uh oh...
- That's fine dad, I don't mind this car at all, it's not like I'm going to drive it
- Actually, I want you to try driving through our neighborhood with this manual car so you can get a feel for how it is
- Joel, we're currently borrowing this stick car because mine is currently getting repaired
- Alright now that we're going to switch seats so you can drive us home
- Alright...
- Ok so now use the clutch to move to gear one but remember to slowly accelerate and let go of the cutch at the same time
- Ok so the first thing you need to do is release the hand brake
- Ok I think I can do that?
- Got that
- If you stay stopped when the car isn't in neutral, the car will turn off
- Remember that you have to accelerate at a steady pace so the car moves
- *Screeches to a halt*
- What was that?
- Ok we're almost home just this stop sign up ahead then we park
- 3 minutes later after I learnt how to turn the car on
- Yeah there's just another stop sign again how am I supposed to stop again?
