- he overheard some people saying they heard Jesus say that the poor would rejoice
- zacchaeus did not understand this wouldnt peoplebe happy with money. soon the news came. Jesus was coming to town
- zaccaeus went to see jesus but he could not see over the crowd because he was quite short
- zacchaeus saw a sycamore tree and climbed up into it. Jesus saw him and walked over to him
- he told Zacchaeus come down for I am coming to your house today
