- In the kingdom of Ayodhya in northern India people prospered under the rule of king dashrath, though the king has three wives he didn’t have any children or an heir to his throne and so he performed Yagya to get a son from his three wives and as a result, he was blessed with four sons and one of them is Rama.

- When Rama was declared to be the king of Ayodhya Manthara who was the maid of queen kaikeyi poisoned kaikeyi’s mind to make her son bharat be the king and wanted Rama to be exiled in the forest for 14 years, she then tried to convince the king and successfully convinced him by her two boons.

- After being banished from Ayodhya Lakshmana and Sita went with Rama to the forest and while Bharat heard the truth he then followed Rama to convince him to return and be the king but he refused. As proof that he was ruling in Rama's name, he grabbed his brother's sandals.
- Surpanakha disguised herself as a beautiful woman and tried to entice Rama but then got rejected and tried to kill Sita but instead, her nose got cut by Lakshamana’s knife. Soonpanaka then asked for her brothers help Ravana and sent a deer to tempt the two brothers and stole Sita away.

- After all of the long search and days of warfighting with Ravana, from the sacrifices they have made, they finally saved Sita and returned to North India. 14 years had passed Rama had become king of Ayodhya with his queen Sita and his Brother Lakshmana by his side they lived happily.
