- The rabbits end up overproducing more offspring than what the environment can handle.
- Because of the overproduction, there is competition as there is a lack of food for the rabbits.
- Some rabbits separate and end up reproducing
- The reproduction creates light brown rabbits,and the fur is a heritable trait
- The new environment ends up having selective pressure, a wolf.
- Because of the genetic variation of the light brown rabbits, their fur color is able to blend in with the ground. As a result they have adapted to their environment.
- As a result of the light brown rabbits getting eaten less, the next generation of rabbits ended up becoming mainly light brown rabbits.
- As the cycle continued, all individuals in the population had light brown fur.
