- $20 dollars for your hair, Mrs. Della
- Give it to me quick!
- Della was sad because she didn't have enough money to buy a gift that she wanted to give her husband.
- CLIMAX

- I sold my hair because I want to give you a present
- Della and Jim's most valuable possessions were Della's hair and Jim's pocketwatch.
- FALLING ACTION
- Heres your present Della , We can't use it for now
- Mines too, but don,t worry, what caunts is the intention
- Della goes to a hair salon and Della sells her hair to Madame Sofroni, so she has money to buy the gift she wanted to give to her husband.
- RESOLUTION
- No matter what happens, I love you!
- Me too, darling
- Della waits for Jim to arrive at the house and when Jim arrives at the house he notices that Della doesn't have long hair anymore.
- They both give each other gifts but the irony is that they can no longer use them.
- At the end they hug and show their love.
