  • There are only 30,000 books throughout all of Europe. There has to be a way to make books faster. I know! I'll make a sort of "moveable type" to decrease the time and work it takes to make a book. This will surely be beneficial to the print industry. Plus, I'll probably earn a lot of money from my invention. I better start working, but I need to make sure no one knows about it so they don't steal my idea.
  • The first book I'm going to make with the Printing Press is the Bible/Gutenberg Bible. This way more people can read the Bible and understand it from their own knowledge.
  • The Printing Press is such a good invention, all of Europe and maybe beyond are going to use it.
  • Did you hear about the new invention from Germany, the Printing Press? The whole world's going to use it not just Europe.
  • I heard about that. It's going to allow books to be cheaper and more accessible. And more books will be translated into different languages.
  • Johannes Gutenberg first had the idea to create a machine for printing in 1440 in Strasbourg, France. He most likely did it for profit since he took loans out to make the machine.
  • Because of the Printing Press, my children can actually learn to read and write. The Printing Press will have a huge impact on Europe and the rest of the world.
  • Since the Printing Press allows for faster and cheaper printing, people can actually read the books I write
  • By 1450, Gutenberg had finished making the Printing Press and it was ready to use commercially. The Gutenberg Bible was the earliest book printed using movable metal type
  • I think that without the Printing Press the Renaissance would still have happened but later. The Renaissance was inevitable. *
  • The Printing Press spread rapidly all over Europe from Mainz, Germany where it was created. Millions of books were made and thousands printing presses were manufactured to produce even more books.
  • Did you know that the first "printer" was the Printing Press? It was made by Johannes Gutenberg. This printer is basically just a more advanced and modern version of the Printing Press
  • Printers are actually amazing, I can't imagine what we would do without them.
  • The Printing Press made it possible for almost everybody to read. It also led to more exposure to small authors so people didn't just have to read from rich famous authors.
  • * In my opinion, the Printing Press just allowed the Renaissance to happen earlier. It allowed things like the Protestant Reformation, which was apart of the Renaissance, to happenWithout the Printing Press, the Protestant Reformation would not have happened because the different translations of the Bible would not have been available to the commoners who wanted/needed it. Additionally, the Renaissance was unavoidable and always needed to happen. It was crucial for Europe and led to more exploration which led to more discoveries, all benefiting Europe.
  • Now, in the 21st century, we still use a version of the Printing Press. We use printers or something made by printers every day. The Printing Press will always be significant to us and the way we live.
