- There are over 50,000,000 sperm cells all competing!
- Woohoo!!!
- There is a hole and many sperm got killed by it when they fell!

- Marathon Start
- Urethra
- An egg cell travels to the uterus (womb) along the fallopian tube (oviduct) during ovulation.
- Cervix
- During sexual intercourse, semen is ejaculated from the penis into the vagina.
- Fallopian Tube
- I am the Survivor! I am the best!
- The sperm cells swim up past the cervix into the uterus and then into the fallopian tubes.
- Fertilization Complete
- You survived that?!?! Well the prize for you is that we come together to form a baby!
- A sperm cell meets an egg cell that is travelling along on one of the fallopian tubes, on its way to the uterus, or when the egg cell is in the uterus.
- When the sperm and egg cells meet it is known as fertilisation and the fertilised egg is called a zygote.
- All but one spem manages to not die of tiredness or in the traps!
- The fertilised egg cell travels to the lining of the uterus where it implants and begins to divide to form an embryo.
- Yay!
