- ESCAPING THE RADLEY YARD
- One night Jem decides they are finally going to go up to the Radley house. He tells Scout and Dill his plan and assigns them roles. Scout and Dill are scared but agree to their parts.
- While carrying out the plan a shadow appears above Jem. All of the children take notice and immediately become overcome with fear.
- Reacting in that fear the children run towards a fence they plan to sneak underneath to get away.
- While running away Jem's pants get stuck on the fence and he calls out to Scout and Dill for help.
- Dill and Scout turn around and rush to Jems' side and attempt to free him from the fence.
