- No , I'm afraid...we've been trying for such a long time now...I wanted to adopt but...Mr. Lyons is well, he says he wanted his own son, not someone else's.
- Ah yeh... yeh.
- Mrs. Johnstone had her first interaction with her soon to be husband, Mr. Johnstone while dancing. He complimented her and were both fond of each other with feelings progressing to one and another. He mentions how she looks more beguiling and heavenly than Marilyn Monroe. These words carried till their marriage day.
- You're expecting twins. Congratulations!
- With 7 children after marriage and 1 more to be due soon, Mr. Johnstone abandons Mrs. Johnstone. He could not continue providing for his family, so he decided to leave his Marilyn Monroe for a better future. Mrs. Johnstone was left speechless and devastated, as he was the man she loved most. Now she had to take on the duty of having to bring in money into the household, and care for her young children.

- My husband is due back tomorrow, Mrs. Johnstone. I must have my baby. We made an agreement, a bargain. You swore on the Bible.
- Mrs. Johnstone takes on her first job of becoming a maid after her traumatic experience, for Mr. and Mrs. Lyons, as well as expecting a baby alongside of that. Mrs. Lyons and her husband have been longing for a child of their own, but unfortunately are unable to. Whereas, Mrs. Johnstone is incapable of controlling the kids she's got.

- Mrs. Johnstone visits the doctor and was alarmed by the shocking news she received. She's having twins! She was unable to feed her 7 children already, and now she would have to care for another 2?! She felt numb by the news, and went back to dust off and clean for Mrs. Lyons and her home domain.
- When Mrs. Lyons heard Mrs. Johnstone was having twins, she requested Mrs. Johnstone to give one of her twins to her. She was due in the beginning of July, and Mr. Lyons didn't come back till after from his travels. Mrs. Lyons found it perfect to hide from her husband that she would be adopting, and lie to him saying thats it's one of their own. Mrs. Lyons manipulates Mrs. Johnstone by agreeing to hand one of her babies to her.

- No don't tell me which one. Just take him, take him.
- Mrs. Lyons claims that If either twin learns that he was once a pair, they shall both immediately die. She demands Mrs. Johnstone to never allow her child of the pair to make an appearance in front of her son, which works vice versa. She also does not wish for Mrs. Johnstone to meet Edward, as her feelings as the actual mother would begin to show. Mrs. Lyons also un-employs Mrs. Johnstone as a maid, for this reason.
