- After the 7 years war, Britain was in debt, they still needed to pay for the army so they decide to tax the Colonies
- Tea time! Not really...
- Huh? They told us to dress up like this.

- The British decide to tax the Colonies a lot (stamp act, sugar act, declaring act), this only made the colonists feel insulted since they helped in the war and built the colonies

- The Boston Massacre was when the Colonists clashed with the British Troops. This resulted in five casualties.

- After the Tea act, (The act that made smugglers and merchants mad, because of a company selling tea for a cheaper price.) Men dressed as Native Americans brought hatchets, climbed onto a shipped filled with tea, and threw them into the ocean.
- After the Boston Tea Party, Britain made the Intolerable Acts to punish Boston. This was a list of rules that Boston had to follow.

- On July 4th 1776, the Declaration of Independence was made, and that was the piece of paper that broke ties with Britain
