  • Water Cycle
  • Hello! Did you know that water is a limited resource that is continuously moving. The movement of water between land, sky, and back to land again is called the water cycle.
  • Evaporation
  • Mum guess what! Today in school I learnt that evaporation is when liquid water turns into water vapor. The sun warms up water from oceans, lakes and any other body of water, even from vegetation, and normal household items such as the hot water in a kettle, and a cup of water, etc.The increase in temperature causes the water to turn into water vapor, which rises into the atmosphere.
  • Condensation
  • Hello! My name is Penny! Did you know that Condensation is the process of water vapor turning into clouds. Lower pressure at higher altitudes causes the temperature to be colder. The colling of the water vapor causes the water particles to get closer together
  • Precipitation
  • Very tiny droplets of water pour down as precipitation. Depending on the temperature, precipitation can be in the form of rain, sleet or snow. In this case, it came down as snow. The temperature dropped so much. that the lake even froze.
  • Transpiration
  • Ello friends! On my journey I have learnt that transpiration is when water from plants turn into water vapor. Soil takes in water after precipitation. From here, plants take up the water, and some excess water is released in the form of water vapor through tiny holes in leaves called stomata
  • Infiltration
  • Infiltration is when rain, sleet, or snow turns into ground water. Some water that is unabsorbed by the soil, leaks slowly into the ground and collects in underground aquifers as groundwater.
