- At twelve o'clock in the schoolyard, Tom told Becky that he loved her and that if she loved him, she answered yes, then Tom told her that if she wanted to walk to school with him because before she used to walk with Amy, Becky got anger when she heard that Tom walking with Amy and left there
- Tom was sad because of Becky, and he didn't want to go to school in the afternoon
- That night Tom went to bed at nine but couldn't sleep
- At eleven o'clock at night Tom went out to the patio for the sale of his bedroom, Huck was there, they walked to the cemetery and they stayed talking in low voices
- Suddenly, three men entered the cemetery: a doctor, Muff Potter, and indian Joe. The doctor and Joe started talking angrily, then Joe pulled out a knife and killed the doctor. Tom and Huck ran out of there scared and went to Tom's yard.
- Huck told Tom that he couldn't talk about this because indian Joe can find them and kill them, Tom agreed with what Huck said. Then Tom came in through the window of his room and went to bed but he couldn't sleep well
