- I introduce you, to Maya's family, they come from Kazakhstan, but due to their economic situation and the suggestions of their aunt, they moved to the United States. Now Maya is attending school, where she dreams about the school dance, which for her would be impossible to attend, because her parents will not let her go.

- Maya thinks that she will not be able to attend the school dance, because her parents are very attached to the U.S culture.
- Falling Action
- After a while, Maya is called by the principal, upon arriving at the office, her family found out that Maya's brother, Nurzhan, was involved in a fight at school, and for this he must be suspended, but Maya understood the situation since he was not to blame, for this reason she doesn't translate the principals message correctly to his father, so that his brother does not get into so much trouble.
- Resolution
- After what happened, Nurzhan helps Maya, so that she could go to the dance, the plan succeeded, but, there was a requirement, that her brother had to supervise her, making him her chaperone.
- Maya's mother gave her a bracelet, making her understand that she is understanding the customs of the United States. When they arrived, Maya spent time with her friends, and then danced with Daniel, she felt very happy. At that moment his brother went to the bathroom to give his sister privacy.
