- Rosa park was an African American activist in the civil rights movement who was discriminated and sent to jail because she refused to relinquish her seat on the bus to a white man.
- Before Rosa became an activist in the civil rights movement, she was a member of the Montgomery chapter of the National Association for Advancement for POC.
- Parks wasn't physically exhausted, so she was able to get out of her seat. She refused to give up her seat because of the legislation in Montgomery at the time, which compelled her to do so due of her race.
- On December 1st 1955, Rosa was arrested for not giving up her seat to a white man. At the time this was a violation of the city's racial segregation Ordinances .
- After what happened on December 1st, a boycott of the municipal bus company began on December 5th. This protest was with 70 percent of African American people in which constituted with the ridership.
- After the boycott, a young baptist ,minister named Martin Luther king Jr. followed Rosa's historic act of civil disobedience. The civil rights movement was so successful, that the NAACP awared her the Martin Luther King Jr award.
