Storyboard Text

  • The sister chromatids differentiate from each other and are pulled to opposite ends of the cell during anaphase. The protein "glue" that binds the sister chromatids is broken down, allowing them to separate. Each chromosome is now its own entity. Every pair's chromosomes are pulled to opposite ends of the cell.
  • Finally, the telophase stage
  • The chromosomes reach the cell poles during telophase, the mitotic spindle disassembles, and vesicles containing pieces of the initial nuclear membrane form around the two sets of chromosomes. The lamins at each end of the cell are then dephosphorylated by phosphatases.
