Storyboard Text

  • Hey John, I just got off the phone with Carla and she invited us to a party tomorrow at 9:00PM.
  • Of course there will be drinks, were 25, it's a party for crying out loud!
  • Are there going to be drinks? I want to have fun.
  • Okay I'm going to go call a taxi for tomorrow.
  • Why? We can't afford that right now, we're on a tight budget.
  • Then how are we going to get to the party?
  • But drunk driving is illegal.
  • Drive?
  • 1. John (right) just came home from working at Mcdonald's as a cashier for 8 hours and 1 overtime double pay hour. Michael (left) got a call from one of his high school friends, Carla, who invited them to her 23rd birthday.
  • No, but I do know that drunk driving could be dangerous for many road users.
  • Haha, what are you, a lawyer?
  • Yeah but we have no other choice.
  • 2. Michael decides to plan ahead and call a taxi for them to come home after the party because he knows that they are definitely going to be drunk after a long week. But John doesn't want him to call a taxi as they are under some financial stress at the moment.
  • We could just not go to Carla's birthday party. I'm sure she won't mind.
  • No, I want to go. I could just... stay sober?
  • 3. John feels like it is unnecessary to plan ahead and call a taxi. He believes that they should call take his car instead because it will be less stress on the financial issue.
  • Like you could STAY SOBER. After every party your always so drunk that other drunk people have to carry you to a car.
  • You are over exaggerating, I'm sure I wont even take a sip of alcohol.
  • 4. John finds it funny that Michael is serious about commiting an offence. John also thinks that there is no alternate option to get to the party so the only way is to take his car.
  • 5. After Michael says that it isn't necessary to go to Carla's birthday, John realizes that instead of committing an offence of drunk drinving, he could just stay sober throughout the party.
  • 6. Even though John doesn't remember anything at the parties, he doubts himself and believes that Michael is lying about what happens to him after them.
