- Della was crying beacuse she only had $1.87 and the next day was christmas she had no gift for Jim.

- She decided to sell her hair for $20 now she had $21.87. To buy
- Resolution
- Lets keep our gifts until we can use them!
- They decided to exchange gifts at dinner. The thing is Della didn't realize that Jim sold his watch to get her nice combs for her hair.
- They opened their gifts and realized that Jim had no watch and Della had no hair.
- Della and Jim decide to keep their gifts until they can use them.
