  • With Kiya ft. Rico
  • The Hydrologic Cycle
  • wow! it's hurricane season. evaporation must have taken a while since there's so much rain these days.
  • oh, that's the first step of the hydrologic cycle, right? when water at the surface, like oceans and reservoirs, becomes water vapor?
  • yeah! then after that is condensation, the water vapor going up into the atmosphere. after that is precipitation.
  • along with rain, snow, sleet. hail and ice all are what can happen when it precipitates.
  • that's when the flow of water has infiltrates soil and seeps out right?
  • precisely!
  • exactly! after precipitation is transpiration. that is when some of the precipitated water gets absorbed into the soil, which can cause groundwater to happen.
  • you've got it! snow and ice are probably the worst outcomes of the cycle. you're always slipping and sliding, and COLD!
  • and runoff happens after. that is when the water runs over the surface of the earth after transpiration.
  • this cycle happens each and every day around us. it's a nonstop cycle!
  • woah, how cool! maybe one day we could watch the cycle happen... oh no! RAIN!! let's get out of here!!
