Storyboard Text

  • "The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time" by the author Mark Haddon, and published May 1st, 2003, talks of a boy named Christopher Boone. He is a 15 year old kid with autism, but has a sharp mind and is smarter than what most people think. And as the story goes, he learns secrets, lies revealed and altercations made.
  • Where It All Started...
  • Don't worry ma'am, we will get to the bottom of this.

  • In the beginning of the book, we start with Christopher, who is a 15 year old autistic child with learning disabilities, yet is very efficient in math skills. He is near a dead dog, and inspecting it, even feeling sadness for this loss. The dog has been stabbed with a garden fork, and it belongs to Mrs. Shears the dog-owner, fork-owner, house-owner, everything-owner.

  • These letters are for me and its from... mom? I thought she was dead? Everything has been a lie?
  • "I'm sorry, Christopher. I'm so, so sorry... I was going to show them to you when you were older." - page 114
  • After having to go to the police station for assaulting the officer when Christopher was being questioned, he was picked up by his father, who asks him why he did what he did. At that point, Christopher is determined to find whoever killed Wellington, whatever it takes and using whatever methods he knows. Even if it means talking to strangers, which he hates! But he already promised to his father that he would no longer search for the killer, and he never breaks his promises.

  • Even with his fathers warning telling him not to investigate anymore, she goes around his neighborhood asking them why his father hates Mr. Shears so much. He talks to a lady of the name Mrs. Alexander, who tells him many things and finally tells him the real reason why Mr and Mrs Shears divorced and why his father must hate him.

  • I solved a murder, found my mom and even wrote this cool book. I can do anything i put my mind to at this point!
  • With Christopher's father learning that he talked to Mrs. Alexander, he beats Christopher and took the notebook that he was using for his investigation. Later, Christopher goes looking for the notebook in his dad's room, but instead, finds recent letters from his mother hidden in a show box, proving she is still alive and that his Father has been lying to him his whole life. He is so shocked from this that he faints and wakes up very sick.

  • After learning that it was his father was the one that killed Wellington, he decides to run away from home and live with his mother. He goes a uncomfortable journey to the address on the letters to find his mom, and live with her. There were many obstacles and inconveniences that happened, even him almost getting run over by the train, but he eventually made it to her home and stays there for a while. Until his father comes...
  • I can not trust father anymore, I will live with mother now.
  • Having to make a hard decision, Christopher's mom leaves Mr. Shears place to move back to Swindon to be with Christopher more. Soon Christopher moves into a new apartment with his mom and gets visits from his dad. At school, Christopher does his A-level math exam and receives an A grade, which is the best possible score. But all in the end, Christopher plans to take more exams and go to a university in another town. But now he knows, that he can do anything. He went on a crazy adventure to find his mom, solving a murder and passing a hard exam. Now he knows he can do anything.
