  • In 1825 the first republic of Mexico pass a law that let’s Americans immigrants to live in Texas and trade. So Texas can have a “bit” more people for it

  • Manuel Mier y Teran Was sort a spy for Santa Anna. He found that Anglo influence in Texas was dangerous and Mexico could lose Texas. so he was the reason the law of April 6, 1830.

  • The law of April 6, 1830 forced American immigrants to stay out of Texas. Oh yah they enforced taxes on trade goods. This will be the spark of Conventions of 1832 & 1833.

  • Well the Conventions of 1832 & 1833 were mainly Rally’s for Texas’s problems with Mexico.
  • Well in 1834 Stefan F. Austin was imprisoned for treason. This is because Santa Anna didn’t want to make Texas a state. But he served only a year.

Tensions rose in Texas during early 1835 as throughout Mexico federalists began to oppose the increasingly centralist policies of the government.
