- Ugh! its so hot today dude,its like im in a volcano
- Don't worry it'll cool off as time goes by, and while were walking lets talk about volcanoes!
- uhh no?, can you explain it to me?
- Do you know how volcanoes erupt?or what happens during volcanic eruption?
- Sure!,so basically what happens is when magma rises bubbles of gas forms inside of it, and if the magma is runny the gas can be dissolve easily, BUT if the magma is thick it traps the gases or bubbles making it build up its pressure and when the pressure is too much thats when it explodes!
- WOAH!, but sometimes volacanoes explodes less and sometimes more explosive. what does that mean?
- So that means the thicker the magma the more explosive and the thinner the magma mean less explosive!
- it mean when the volcano has less viscocity means less explosive and it has more viscosity means more explosive
- I didn't even know that! thanks for letting me know!
- And BTW melting happens where the one plate is pushed down under another,and magma is lighter than rock so it rises towards the earth's surface!
