  • Nasra was in the Sudra varna and her master was in the Kshatriya varna, her master treated her well but, her master's wife and daughter didn't like her because she was pretty.
  • Nasra had to do alot of chores but she was glad that she didn't have to carry the dead or skin animals, like the untouchables.

  • One day a Buddhist comes into town and tries to persuade Hindus to convert. More of the lower classes convert than the higher classes like the Vaishyas and up. some Vaishyas argue and don't want the lower classes that work for them to convert.

  • Nasra chose not to convert because truthy, she liked working, and her master. She didn't want to wander about to "find happiness". She went to the worshiping site every day to confer with the Hindu guru. Even in the rain.
  • Every week Narsa went to the market. She was under strict orders to only get certain things, she got only a certain amount of money so her master could make sure that she only got the things that they wanted. But, on Sundays she got to go buy things for herself and her family.
  • Some days Narsa would find herself non-busy and borrow a boat to sing with the birds. Narsa thought that life was good.
