  • victor quits building the lady
  • Had I right, for my own benefit, to inflict this curse upon everlasting generations? 
  • monster threatens victor
  •  I shall be with you on your wedding-night.
  • victor is accused of murder
  • Surely it is not the custom of Englishmen to receive strangers so inhospitably.
  • he decides against creating the new creature because he was worried about all of the possible outcomes. he didnt want to cause any more harm than he had already done. it leads to the event that kicks off the drama in this section.
  • the victim is clerval
  • Have my murderous machinations deprived you also, my dearest Henry, of life?
  • the monster is so angry that victor stopped creating his wife that he threatens victor in a very ominous way. it is the anger in the monster that causes what i believe to be the climax is this section of the book.
  • wakes up in a dungeon cell
  • if you mean about the gentleman you murdered, I believe that it were better for you if you were dead,
  • victor lands his boat on an island and is immediately taken into custody and accused of murder because the same boat was seen leaving the body. its important because the body was clerval!

  • Something whispers to me not to depend too much on the prospect that is opened before us, but I will not listen to such a sinister voice.
  • victor is devastated when he finds out the murder victim is his friend henry clerval. he knows the monster did it and is very upset with him. itrs important because victors best friend was killed.
  • after falsely admitting to sveral murders victor wakes up in a cell by a nurse where he is soon released. this is important to the story because it is what makes victors dad come to see him.
  • victor and elizabeth get married! obviously this is a major event in the book and the quote is foreshadowing the events that happen later that evening.(check slide 2)
