- Meeting The Medicine Man
- I would like to start my vision quest!
- The Sweat Lodge
- Location, Reflection, And Fasting
- There was a girl who was 14 years old who felt that she was ready to complete her vision quest. She must receive permission and consult with the medicine man before she is able to do her vision quest. She must also prepare for the vision quest.
- The Arrival Of The Spirit Helper
- The next step of preparation was to preform a sweat lodge ceremony. The purpose of this ceremony is to purify the mind, soul and body. Inside she sits with the grandmothers, medicine man and the fire keeper. The fire keeper pours water on the hot rocks in order to create steam. They as well use ceremonial medicines to cleanse the area and themselves, this will help her for her journey.

- She then chose her sacred place in the woods in order to be guided by Mother Nature and to be more connected with the earth. She would set up camp and fast for 3 days, during this time she would seek for her spirit helper and as well meditate, reflect and pray for wisdom and courage. She must be in tune with her spirit.
- The Elders Interpretation
- During her sleep on the third night she had a dream about an eagle flying through the sky. She was sure that the eagle was her spirit helper guiding her.
- When coming back home she had a new state of mind. She felt full of wisdom and felt as if she did a great cleansing. She was also extremely happy that she was able to finish her vision quest and find her spirit helper.
- After coming home from her vision quest she went to go see an elder in order to understand her dream. The elder tells her that the eagle represents courage and that it will inspire her spirit to fly to new heights. She then went on to celebrate the success of her vision quest with a ceremony and a feast!
