Storyboard Text

  • A star forms from massive clouds of dust and gas in space, also known as a stellar nebula. Nebulae are mostly composed of hydrogen
  • Hello guys! My name is Nebula but feel free to call me Nebie! :) I am just a new creation in this world and I heard from Ma'am Kim that one day I'll become a big star.
  • Nebie will surely become a beautiful Star...
  • Wow! Look! I'm now slowly transforming..
  • As the mass falls together it gets hot. A star is formed when it is hot enough for the hydrogen nuclei to fuse together to make helium. The fusion process releases energy, which keeps the core of the star hot.
  • I am a protostar now, which is known as the earliest stage of my life.
  • Yehey!! I'm so happy that now I'm a fully star.
  • During this stable phase in the life of a star, the force of gravity holding the star together is balanced by higher pressure due to the high temperatures. The Sun is at this stable phase in its life.
  • I will promise that I'll do my best to shine as bright as I can my dear friends!
  • I hope that you can enjoy it every you come out in the middle of the night to see me. Your dear, Nebie. :)
  • The nuclear fusion happening within the star converts hydrogen to helium. After the star burns all it's hydrogen, it will become unstable. As the stars outer shell begins to expand, the star will glow red and become a red giant.
  • Hello my friend! You remember me? In my times of glory I was a young and bright star but now, sad to say that I'm getting older and soon I might become a black hole. :(
  • The larger a star's mass, the shorter its life cycle. This huge star will undergo a supernova, where elements are created through fusion. Once energy has stopped being produced, the star will collapse as the repulsive force between nuclei overcome the force of gravity.
  • Omyghad! Nebie!! You're back!! Is it you, my dear Nebie?
  • Hey my dear friend! I am sorry to say that it is time for me to go.
  • The final stage happens when the core is swallowed by its own gravity. After the explosion, the force of gravity keeps protons and neutrons from combining and thus becomes a black hole, attracting any matter which comes close.
  • I hope you do not forget all the things you have learned about me. Also, I really hope that every time you come outside you will remember me.
  • I will always be your Nebie, right? Promise?
