To further push the plan Lady Macbeth sneakily continues to give drinks to the guards so they will be drunk and Macbeth can kill Duncan.
After thinking, he sees a dagger. This sets the conflict in Macbeth. King Duncan is nice to him, and he is now going to kill him and betray his trust. Eventually, he chooses to kill Duncan and attempt to claim the crown
He finally chooses to kill Duncan. A friend and someone who made him Thane of Cawdor and Macbeth are not happy about killing him.
