  • How Adler Sees Me
  • How Bandura Sees Me
  • Everyone is watching me
  • How Freud Sees Me
  • College is still so far away
  • Adler developed the birth order theory, which states that the order in which a child is born impacts their personality. This holds very true in my family because I am the oldest, which Adler says will be a perfectionist, a leader, and set high expectations to achieve, which are all qualities that I have. My sister is the middle child (the peacekeeper) and my brother is the youngest (humorous and outgoing.)
  • How Costa and McCrae See Me
  • Let's plan this out
  • Bandura's theory of spotlight effect is when we assume that people have attention focused on us when people actually may not be noticing. For example, when I am giving a class presentation I am nervous because I feel everyone is watching me, but in reality no one is even paying attention.
  • How Rogers Sees Me
  • I have to keep practicing to be the best that I can be
  • Freud developed many defense mechanism theories, one being repression. Repression is avoiding painful thoughts by forcing them into the back of your mind. I am currently experiencing this because I avoid thinking about the fact that I am leaving for college in a few months and will have a whole new life.
  • How Jung Sees Me
  • Just stop your crying it's a sign of the times
  • Costa and McCrae developed the big five model, which are the five traits that appear at an early age. These traits are openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Costa and McCrae would say that the trait I display the most is conscientiousness because I like to logically plan things out, have a lot of self-discipline, and am very goal-oriented.
  • Carl Rogers theory of personality is built on actualizing tendency, meaning we have a built in motivation to develop our potential to the fullest extent. This is very true with me because I tam trying to do things to become the best at everything that I possibly can by doing things such as getting straight A's in school and going to every extra diving and track practice I can to get better.
  • Carl Jung's theory of synchronicity is chance events that have a particular meaning. I've experienced this when my friend starts singing a song that I've had stuck in my head. There is no way she knew I was thinking of it, but she was at the exact same time.
  • I WAS JUST THINKING OF THAT SONG!
