- Dorothy lived with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henrey in a small farm in Kansas . She even had a dog named Toto .
- Dorothy and Toto could not get into the cellar in time so they were taken away with their house by the cyclone . When the house stopped they came out and found they were in a strange land where a witch thanked her for killing the Wicked Witch of East . She gave Dorothy a kiss and told her to follow the yellow brick road to meet the Oz and ask her to send her home .
- Dorothy meet many friends in the way they also wanted to meet the Oz . The scarecrow wanted a brain , a tin woodman needed a heart and the cowardly lion needed courage .
- When Dorothy and her friends meet the Oz they were forced to kill the Wicked Witch of West if they wanted their wish to be fulfilled which they completed when Dorothy threw a bucket of Water on the Witch .
- When they went back to the Oz they got to know that he was a boy from a village near Kansas and did all his tricks with the help of illusion . When he was forced to grant their wishes he did it somehow and decided to take Dorothy by the hot air balloon which they made for the past few days but Dorothy went finding for Toto and missed the flight . So he was left behind but the solders told her to take help from the Witch of the South . So with the help of Glinda she went home .
- Dorothy was back home and her uncle had built a new hut . She hugged Aunt Em and lived happily .
