- In 1908 a beautiful couple arrived in Orizaba with a little daughter of only 2 years old, named Ana Maria Seguro y Couto.

- But fate was cruel to her, since there was an accident, where a candle ended up falling on her dress while she slept. The flames consumed her.
- This was a real tragedy. They came from Mexico City, but they could not find a way to take her back to her hometown, so they chose to bury her right there in Veracruz.
- Her parents decided to invest in an angel statue, which would serve as their daughter's guardian. Thanks to this feature it became very striking, but it was not the reason why it became famous.Over time, reports began to accumulate that spoke of extra things happening on that site.
