- Long ago, King Dasharatha ruled over the kingdom of Ayodhya. Ayodhya was a prosperous land. King Dasharatha has 4 sons, Rama, Bharatha, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna. There was a special bond between Rama and Lakshmana.
- Ravana deceived Rama
- One day, Vishwamitra sends Rama to the forest to kill a demon. Rama successfully killed the demon named Tadaka. Vishwamitra bring Rama to the kingdom of Mithila which was ruled by King Janaka. Rama succeeded in stringing a great bow given by Lord Shiva. This won him Janaka's daughter Sita in marriage
- Ravana kidnaped Sita
- Kaikeyi asked Desharatha to make Bharatha the king and send Rama away to the forest for 14 years. King Dasharatha was heartbroken but he was bound to keep his promise. Rama left Ayodhya with Sita and Lakshmana. Bharatha followed Rama to the forest and convince him to return and rule Ayodhya, but Rama refused and give Bharatha a blessing to be a king 'till Rama returned. One day, Soorpanakha saw Rama and asked to marry her, but Rama refused so instead, Soorpanakha asked Lakshmana to marry her but Lakshmana also refused. Soorpanakha got angry and attacked Sita.
- Rama defeated Ravana
- Soorpanakha went to her brother Ravana, the King of Lanka, and asked him to punish them for insulting her. Ravana sent his uncle Mareecha who took the form of a golden deer to attract Sita. Sita asked Rama to catch the dear, Rama chased the deer and finally shot it. As Mareecha lay dying, he used his magic and called out for Lakshmana in Rama's voice. Hearing Rama's voice, Sita was afraid and sent Lakshmana to help him.
- Before leaving, Lakshmana drew a magic fine to protect Sita and asked her not to cross the lina under any circumstance. When Lakshmana left, Ravana came and disguised as a sage, Sita bring him food and crossed the line. Ravana kidnapped Sita and bring her to Lanka. As soon as Rama found out that, Sita missing he hurriedly chase Ravana, but he couldn't see any traces of Ravana, instead he meet Jatayu, and Jatayu told Rama what happened to Sita. On their way of Searching Rama killed the demon Kabandha and the demon advised him to meet Sugriva.
- Sugriva asked Hanuman to help Rama. Hanuman found Sita in the garden and gives her Rama's ring. The war begins between the monkeys and Ravana's army. Rama killed Ravana and finally reunited with her beloved wife, Sita. Lakshmana, Rama, and Sita returned to Ayodhya.
