- Macbeth meets the witches while they're making potions and casting spells.
- Act 4 Scene 2
- Then tells them he wants to learn more about his future. They tell him three things, keep an eye on Macduff, he won't face any harm from anyone of woman born, and he won't be conquered until Birnam Wood marches to Dunsinane.
- Act 4 Scene 3
- Messenger enters the castle and warns Lady Macduff that she is in danger.
- Act 4 Scene 3
- Murderers enter and kill Lady Macduff and their young son.
- Malcom and Macduff speak outside of King Edward's palace. Malcom tell Macduff that he doesn't trust him scince he left the family in Scotland and may be working with Macbeth
- Malcom mentions his vice to see if Macduff is trustworthy. He said he wonders if he should be fit for a King be cause he is too lustful, greedy, and violent.
