  • These prices are just outrageous
  • The proclamation act was an act that didn't let the settlers go beyond the Appalachian mountains. It had also allowed England to be in control of the west ward expansion. The plan was failing. Colonists continued to go across the Mts. and to claim farther into the Ohio River Vally.
  • Boston Massacre

  • On March 22, 1765, the Stamp Act was passed. Colonists were angry, the british were hoping to get wealthy. As money on everyday items rized, Americans continued to protest and resist against this tax.
  • Boston Tea Party
  • As if the taxes from the Stamp Act wasn't enough, the British passed the Townshend Act in 1767.  Americans were angry. With no representation in Parliament, they saw how the British were abusing their power. As this continued, they still resisted against this tax.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • you are under arrest, and will now have to suffer with the consequences
  • March 5, 1770 was a turning point in this era. It sparked up what many colonists have been wanting to do for a while. Five colonists died in this fight but it was only the beginning of their fight for freedom.
  • The Boston Tea Party occured on December 16, 1773. This was a political protest after all the years of unfair treatment from the British. Americans imposed "taxation without representation." With all of their anger they dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor.
  • WE DID IT!!
  • After the Boston Tea Party, the British Parliament passed the Intolerable Act in 1774. These laws were made to punish the colonists. The British closed down the harbor, and sent many of the colonists that took part of the Boston Tea Party to jail. This brought together many more colonists to eventually take down the British
