- Welcome to your first day on the job, today we'll be going over the hazards we see on the job, and safety precautions we have to take. Don't be afraid to ask any questions!
- Here is the kitchen. Here you will be preparing food, for everyone. In here, there may be a chance of getting burnt by the stove or cutting yourself on accident with a knife.
- If you refuse unsafe work, we can't make you do the work that makes you feel unsafe. We can always give extra training with something if you don't feel safe, so you can learn to use it and feel safe while using it.
- What will happen if I feel unsafe with something in the kitchen? Can I refuse to do something unsafe?
- I'm going to have to be very careful while lifting these boxes, then.
- Here is the storage room, here you might have to carry heavy objects, so be careful, because lifting objects is the most common cause for injuries in the workplace.
- OH NO!
- AHHHHH!
- Are you okay, what happened!?!?
- I slipt and fell on cardboard, and then one of the boxes I was carrying landed on my leg. But I'm okay, nothing too major!
- A few minutes later...
- Good thing you didn't hurt yourself too badly. If you can't see while carrying stuff, maybe you could ask someone for help!
- Next time I will ask for help. Also, do any of you know why there was cardboard all over the place?
- I don't know, but I'm now gonna have to talk with everyone who works here, to tell them not to leave stuff all over the floor, so no one will fall again!
