- 1. Good Day Class. For today’s meeting, I’ll just inform you about your next week’s activity.
- 2. You will be paired and discuss what’s your dream job. You will first discuss it to your partner and next week you will share it to the class.

- 5. So, I’ll dismiss you early and make use of the time for your activity.

- 6. Hey Carl, I heard that you are my partner for next week’s activity.
- 9. Yes sure!
- 7. Oh Shane, its you!
- 8. Yes, I'm your partner. Would you mind if we will discuss it in the library?
- 10. So what’s your dream job? Do you like to be an engineer? Doctor? Teacher?
- 12. Wow! I heard being a bank director has qualifications, right?
- 13. Yes. Actually, a bank director, aside from being fit and proper for the position, he/she must be atleast 25 yrs old, at least a college graduate or have at least five (5) years experience in the business. Most especially, he/she must have attended a special seminar on corporate governance for board of directors conducted or accredited by the Bangko Sentral.
- 11. Ever since in grade school, I really want to be a bank director because it is my father’s job and I am so amaze on it.
- 14. Oh that’s a lot. Actually Carl, I also wanted to be an officer in a bank, general manager to be exact.
- 16. Yes. A qualified bank officer must be at least twenty-one years of age, at least a college graduate or have at least five (5) years experienced in banking or trust operations or he/she must have undergone satisfactory training in banking or trust operations.
- 17. That’s fair and acceptable though. But do you know Shane what I’m worried about?
- 15. That’s great. But I believe it has also qualifications, right?
- 18. What is it Carl?
- 24. Yes Carl. Actually, what you’ve mentioned are also some of the disqualifications for being a bank officer.
- 21. Oh I see. But don’t you worry Carl, I know you are a good man and you can’t commit such things in the future.
- 26. Yes, we will be a good person and promise to never commit those things.
- 20. There are Disqualifications for being a Director. It could be permanent and temporary. One of the permanent disqualifications is when a person has been convicted by final judgment of a court for offenses involving dishonesty or breach of trust. On the other hand, one of the temporary disqualifications is when a person refuses to fully disclose the extend of their business interest or any material information to the appropriate supervising and examining department.
- 25. Oh really? So, I guess both of us must not commit any of those things in order for us to be qualified?
- 22. Thanks Shane. How about you? Are there any disqualifications for being a bank officer?
