- One way humans affect the dynamics of the water cycle is from dams.
- I am starting to evaporate because of the suns heat. This process of Evaporation is first in the Water Cycle.
- Now I will follow the clouds and go from water vapor to a liquid. This second step in the Water Cycle is called condensation.
- When people pollute lakes or rivers it effects oceans as well. Since the ocean is connected to lakes and rivers the oceans get effected as well and this effects the Water Cycle
- Now I will flow up with transpiration and form into clouds then fall to the ground with precipitation. Transpiration is the evaporation of water from plants occurring at the leaves. This leads to precipitation, this is when there is too much water in the clouds so it starts to rain or snow.
- Plants and trees are important for the environment. Humans have gotten rid of trees for industrial purposes. This is another way the water cycle is affected by humans.
- Now I am a Runoff which is when a portion of the precipitation that reaches the Earth's surface seeps into the ground through the process called infiltration. Precipitation that reaches the surface of the Earth but does not infiltrate the soil is called runoff.
- Now I will filter through the earths soil. This process is known as percolation. This leads to the next step of Ground water.
- Finally, after I get filtered down I end up underground. This process is called Ground Water. Eventually I will emerge to the top and the water cycle will continue.
