  • Hello how are you? My name is Nicolas Alvarez, and today I am going to tell you about some of the most important aspects of the book "Love in the Times of Cholera", written by Colombian Gabriel García Marquez.
  • hola
  • It all starts with Florentino Ariza and Fermina Daza, who are two young lovers who have a secret relationship, because their parents refuse to see them together. Such is the desire to drive them away, that the young woman is forced to move to another city ... But of course, this is not an impediment for the young people to continue communicating by telegraph.

  • (With disgust) Ok
  • Unfortunately, when Fermina returns to her land, she realizes that their romance was an illusion, so she cuts any ties with her partner. Suddenly, she meets Dr. Juvenal Urbino, who begins to woo her. Despite her initial dislike for Urbino, Fermina gives in to the persuasion of her father, and allows herself to be convinced by her for the security and wealth that he offers her, and they marry.
  • Please say yes
  • hola
  • Urbino is a famous doctor dedicated to science, modernity and "order and progress". He is committed to eradicating cholera and promoting public sanitation plans in underprivileged communities. On the other hand, and even after Fermina's engagement and marriage, Florentino vowed to remain faithful and wait for her; but his promiscuity overcomes him and he has hundreds of adventures.

  • Meanwhile, Fermina and Urbino grow old together, going through happy years and unhappy ones and experiencing all the reality of marriage. Urbino proves in the end not to have been an entirely faithful husband, confessing one hide affair to Fermina many years into their marriage.
  • ¡Ahhh! Help
  • As an elderly man, Urbino attempts to get his pet parrot out of his mango tree, only to fall off the ladder he was standing on and die. After the funeral Florentino proclaims his love for Fermina once again and tells her he has stayed faithful to her all these years. Hesitant at first because she is only recently widowed, and finding his advances untoward, Fermina comes to recognize Florentino's wisdom and maturity, eventually gives him a second chance, and their love is allowed to blossom during their old age.
